Professor Dan Loewenthal died of cancer in the year 2000 at the early
age of 56.
Dan was a Professor
of Geophysics in the Department of Geophysics and Planetary Sciences,
Faculty of Exact Sciences, Tel Aviv University.
He was very enthusiastic about his scientific work, and took great pride
in his papers and patents.
He made important contributions in geophysics, and useful
applications including very accurate measurement methods of deep layers
of the Earth's crust.
See lists of his publications at the top or bottom line.
Also a link to the
abstract * of his last paper,
Loewenthal, D., Robinson, E.A., "Relativistic combination of
any number of collinear velocities and generalization of Einstein's
formula," J. Math. Anal. Appl., v. 246, pp. 320-324 (2000).
And here is an abstract of his previous paper *
Loewenthal, D., Robinson, E.A.,
"On unified dual fields theory and Einstein's deconvolution,"
Geophysics, 65, 293-303 (1-2.2000),
and an abstract of his paper published before that *

These pages here are a reconstruction of part of the pages of the OLD internet
site built by the family of the late Professor Loewenthal in his memory.
The pages here may partially help users by serving as a partial mirror site
when the present formal full site in the memory of Professor Loewenthal is out of
service.
Because the pages here are a partial reconstruction, links to missing pages
are not active in this site. Some of the links that are active are marked
with a star *.
Some of the information in both internet site is overlapping.
Other parts exist only in one of the
internet sites.
The reader is advised to search
information in both sites.
Photographs are included in the formal
site only.
The pages on Dan Loewenthal in this site are with permission by his widow Naomi Loewenthal.
The pages in the original internet site in the memory of Dan Loewenthal were programmed
by his daughter Diklah Loewenthal Caspi.
Most of the actual pages in memory of Dan Loewenthal in this site were partially
reconstructed from the original internet site in memory of Dan Loewenthal.
